Lana’i Ohana Poke Market owned and operated by the Lagmay-Stokes family has been an island favorite since opening in April 2009. If you like fresh poke, sushi and other typical island lunch favorites–add this to your itinerary. And since you need to get there early before they sell out, it’s a great spot to pick up a picnic lunch. Vibe: Super casual and very friendly, picnic tables outside.
Menu: The menu varies but they always have poke bowls (poke over rice), $7.50; poke bowl deluxe, braised teriyaki beef, rice, mac salad and poke; $8.95 and sushi.
Highlight: Definitely try the tunari, which is made by Donna on Tuesdays and Thursdays, she found the recipe from the Hawaii State Library and has added her own special touches. Also big bonus is they use only biodegradable and biocompostable products –so no guilt with the take-out.
